Synopsis

Horabaixa — Balearic Catalan for late afternoon — is that moment of the day when the sun goes down and routine comes to a halt: a time that invites us to meet again and share without hurry. The piece turns that instant of freedom and joy into a collective celebration where dance breaks out spontaneously.

We travel through folk dances that each of us feels as our own, and discover movements that may seem foreign at first but that, over time, everyone makes their own. We build a living space for getting to know each other, where dancing is simply a way of enjoying ourselves and being together.

A piece that opens up room for participation, community and recognition, reflecting on cultural transmission, belonging and the making of new shared imaginaries.
